I got a nice surprise link from Spain today from www.sustatu.com My Basque is limited and mainly consists of swear words and asking for kisses from grandma. If anyone out there speaks Basque and can translate the blog and send me the author I would be grateful.

Here’s a picture of my fridge to let you know I have not forgotten where my family is from.

Kaixo!
Although my English is not very good, I’ve tried to traduce it. Jon Sarriugarte (Boise, 1963) is an American artist with Basque origins. His art has three special characteristics: the sthethic of the American art of the XIX century, the use of fire and the will of making useful art, for instance, the trycicle that is a present for his wife. egiteko nahia, gauza praktikoak izan daitezela, emazteari oparitutako trizikloa, adibidez.

Hi, Jon – I came across your website looking for something about Euskera. I’m also Basque. What area of Spain or France is your family from? I’m Basque on both parents sides… my mother is French Basque (we have family in Lapurdi eta Bearn) and my dad is Spanish Basque (have family in Bizkaia eta Nafarroah). Anyhow, write me at the email address given. Agur.
