My latest build is half done and working great! It’s based on the Zeppelin built for the Navy called the Macon.
The drive for this build is an electric wheelchair. I’m able to quick release the motor and drop it out the bottom for service. It’s really fast and as you can see from the video it turns on a dime and clears a 16 foot space of any thing in it’s way.
What a great show! I love shows where art and craft meet and these artists are gifted in both. Wonderful use of real materials and humor. Look for Kathy Aoki showing the “Tomb Room” and several other artifacts from the Gwen Stefani Archeological Dig ( 2468-2478 A.D.).
Zolie trying to hide from the Grannies. I think someone didn’t understand what Steampunk was when they hired the band and forgot the steam. They were great until they got shut down for being too loud. Nice to see good old fashion punk is still alive and well!
Steampunk boys enjoying a smoke.
Zolie hugging here car the Golden Mean and watching the girls dance! What is that bad Grannie doing behind the snail?
Closing event in honor of Goethe’s birthday
August 28, 2010
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The sixteenth century’s cabinets of curiosities, precursors to today’s museums, were encyclopedic collections of specimens from the natural world, as well as man-made artifacts. These cabinets served as educational resources for artists and natural philosophers of the early modern period in western Europe.
Featuring works by more than a dozen Bay Area artists and including photography, sculpture, and painting, the exhibition explores themes such as evolutionary biology and history, progress and decadence, and the carnal and the intellectual. These contemporary artists adopt a range of styles that pre-date twentieth-century modernism and mine the early modern period — that age of discovery for sources of wonder.
A Circus Side Show with the “Giant Iron Snail Car” the Golden Mean and Electrobite as the freaks of nature from the gardens of Vulcan tamed only with Flame . Only the bravest of men will be asked to step forward and tame the beast themselves. This interactive attraction will warm the hearts of women and make men tremble inside. Step right up and lets see what you’re made of!

Kyrsten and I had the pleasure of giving the bride and groom a Giant Iron present for the day that included the Snail car, the fire spewing Boiler Bar and fire gardens.
Kyrsten on her new Electrobite car. This was a huge hit.
What a rocket! the inside was just as nice and the fireworks we saw were over the top Zack!
Day before opening and they are still putting on the finishing touches. Zolie noticed the Monkey’s head didn’t work and impressed most people who didn’t even notice the monkey in the mans tummy.
The porch! We rolled with them most of the week and put on the 1st Steam punk rave Friday night after the rocket.
DPW parade with a live band on top! We got 19 people in the snail at the end!
Quite the show. I really liked the scale of the Man this year. I hope it keeps getting smaller.
Camp Mates jump for Joy!
